Full pool stage is 179.6 ft but in the event of high water the lakes will close at 181 ft. At all times the lake levels are monitored but once it begins to read 180.50 ft, then future precipitation is looked at and decisions start to be made on whether to close the lakes. With that being said, once it has been deemed to close the lakes, the public launches will be locked at the entrance. The lakes will be closed to EVERYBODY and this includes the public and landowners with no exceptions made. This is done for public safety at the boat launches and on the lake and also for protection of property due to the high water. Notification of closing and opening will be made on the website and on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61553463538259).
