The park offers a boat launch and three large piers with covered shelters. Nice to fish from or just to enjoy the view and the breezes off the lake. | |

On October 16, 2006, at approximately 8:30 A.M., while fishing on Cypress Lake, Mark Richards of Ruston, LA, caught a largemouth bass weighing 12.29 pounds and measuring 25 ½ inches in length. Mr. Richards caught the bass using a green buzz bait. |
