SALVINIA ALERT

Rangers located a patch of SALVINIA near Ryan road on the north end of Cypress Lake. It was approximately 20-30 yards square. Wildlife and Fisheries was immediately notified and they will be spraying the area. Also, Park workers have been able to remove much of it with rakes.
Due to the short time it takes this nuisance plant to take over a lake are requesting the public's assistance. We are asking for you to be on the lookout for any SALVINIA on Cypress Lake. If you see anything that looks like SALVINIA please note, as best as you can, where it is and how big it is.
